Job Description
Sesame Workshop seeks a Rights & Contracts Coordinator to work alongside the legal team on a variety of matters particularly those related to rights clearances and the development, production, and distribution of television, film, and new media. We're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented person with first-rate communication skills, who is eager to work and handle a wide array of responsibilities relating to intellectual property clearance and general production counsel matters. The Rights & Contract Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Sesame Workshop attorneys.

Responsibilities:
• Provide support for script review and clearances in general, including maintaining a clearance handling process, liaising with internal departments, and serving as the point of contact for clearance matters and drafting and finalizing clearance agreements
• Drafting service agreements, amendments and renewals using contract templates including those relating to music services, writing services, and performing services
• Manage, maintain and update electronic contract management systems and monitor workflow among stakeholders including legal, finance and the business units
• Manage and maintain the production resource database and track and organize production documentation
• Provide administrative support including calendar management, note-taking, travel arrangements, expense reports, meeting preparation and scheduling, and preparing internal summaries and memos
• Provide internal client support

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or similar experience
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
• Min of 2 years of experience preferably in an in-house rights clearance role in a media company (or equivalent relevant work experience)
• Experience working in entertainment, media, and/or digital content
• Familiarity with drafting, reviewing and editing contracts in relevant subject areas
• Experience working with electronic document management systems such as eDocs and SharePoint
• Ability to communicate with business and operational units to provide guidance and to gather information
• Ability to communicate and negotiate with external parties
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work product and service to clients
• Excellent organization, writing and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, issue spot, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• High energy and enthusiasm, self-motivated, able to work independently and represent the Legal and Business Affairs team in a professional manner
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
