Sr Coordinator, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) - remote
The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Sr. Coordinator, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI). Support the EDI strategy by coordinating EDI events and activities as assigned. Serve as a key member of the EDI team (primarily) and provide a high level of administrative and clerical support to employee resource groups (ERGs).
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Deliver effective project management to ensure the priorities are understood and aligned to the Scripps EDI vision.
• Serve as project and process assistant for the chief diversity officer (CDO) to support optimal workflow, prioritization, and accountability.
• Support the EDI team in the coordination of all EDI-related events, including managing event registration and tracking attendance.
• Maintain annual master calendar to map all EDI activities, milestones, and deliverables.
• Support the EDI team on continuous improvement and value-added processes and projects.
• Provide administrative support for ERGs, the EDI Advisory Council and related EDI programs and initiatives, including coordinating and attending meetings and taking and dissemination of meeting minutes.
• Manage the logistics of all EDI educational sessions:
• Coordinate internal and external EDI marketing/merchandising materials, including signature blocks and social media campaigns.
• Lead, schedule and coordinate EDI appointments with team members and third parties to ensure a seamless experience.
• Attend, participate in, prepare and disseminate meeting minutes for regular and standing EDI meetings.
• Scheduling business travel, coordinate travel schedule, itinerary, meeting arrangements, track expenses and prepare report for travel and entertainment.
• Maintain and update the EDI website, SharePoint site, etc., create templates of approved website layouts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Associate degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
• Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred

• Proficiency with use of virtual technology, event planning, and advanced Microsoft Office programs.
• Self-starter, works well independently, with experience successfully managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Maintains complete confidentiality, possesses a professional demeanor, and exercises appropriate discretion at all times.
• Possess excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and follow through.
• Ability to distill multiple streams of information and exercise sound judgment to make smart decisions quickly.
• Ability to understand organizational agility and flexibility.

• Fosters a team environment while meeting individual and team goals in accordance with the broader mission.
• Occasional travel as needed (approximately 5%).
