We are seeking a detail-oriented Archival Editor with a strong understanding of video content sourcing and editing for machine learning applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, editing, and curating video footage to support our machine learning projects. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to ensure that the video data meets our quality standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities
• Identify and acquire high-quality video footage from various sources, ensuring a diverse and relevant dataset for machine learning models.
• Edit and process video clips to optimize them for analysis, including trimming, formatting, and enhancing footage as needed.
• Annotate and label video data accurately for machine learning training purposes.
• Review sourced footage for consistency and quality, ensuring it aligns with project specifications.
• Work closely with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand project requirements and provide feedback on footage utility.
• Organize and maintain a well-structured library of video assets for easy access and retrieval.

Requirements
• Your background is in Film Production, Multimedia, Computer Science, or a related field.
• You can demonstrate your experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and the role of video data in training models.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• You are able to communicate with others effectively and have the ability to adapt to a changing work environment.
• Experience with data annotation tools and software.
• Understanding of copyright and licensing issues related to video content.
• Basic knowledge of programming or data management tools (e.g., Python, SQL).

$50,000 - $80,000 a year

This salary range is specific to applicants applying to our position in Vancouver, BC, Canada. To determine your base salary, we consider your qualifications, skills, and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary outside of this range and will also be dependent on your location.
