WHAT YOU'LL DO

Reporting to the Editorial Director of Football, the Associate Director of NFL Communities would:
• Work in support of Director and in conjunction with other Associate Directors to develop, evolve, and adapt scalable strategies for team community growth
• Facilitate communication among stakeholders (sales, product team, growth and analytics, team communities managers, flagship editorial staff, etc.) to promote team communities editorial strategy
• Help develop editorial strategies to be executed across team communities
• Lead internal messaging within team communities community/managers; plan larger roll-out communication strategies
• Manage a team of site producers, holding them accountable to goals
• Guide their direct reports' career development and hiring new talent as we grow the business
• Establish and maintain a unified dotcom + team communities editorial calendar and story advancement model across all sports for both editorial strategy and sales purpose.
• Articulate and help effectively manage team communities tiering system by tracking audience and setting attainable goals for growth.
• Partner with stakeholders to build a sustainable Fanpost strategy;
• Coordinate league managers around roles that affect entire network management such as recruiting, training payroll management, videos, real world community building, podcasts, and on-platform community evangelism
• Help to develop strategy to improve quality control, re-circulation, and evergreen content production
• Work with programming team to track key metrics for on-platform and social platforms
• Keep a pulse on the network and surface issues, challenges, questions, and problems to SB Nation leadership
