Location: Roc Nation NYC Office (Full-Time, In-Person)

The Role:

Roc Nation, a Live Nation joint venture, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter who is highly motivated, organized, and takes initiative. This position will handle day-to-day human resources duties, supporting a safe and trusting environment for employees while supporting their questions or concerns. Assist in the administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs. Assist with attracting and hiring the best and brightest talent for Roc Nation. The HR Generalist/Recruiter carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: subject matter expert, Workday, employee relations and policy interpretation, benefits, and employment law.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for full life cycle recruitment - hiring manager communication, job description preparation/posting, submit candidates, relationship management, issue resolution, maintaining process/procedural expectations, scheduling interviews, negotiating offers, generating offer letter, coordinating new hire setup/logistics, etc.
• Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements
• Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and orientations for employee benefits programs
• Process staff changes through Workday
• Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
• Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies
• Handles employee relations issues/concerns and conducts investigations as necessary to resolve according to law, company policy and precedent
• Respond to employee and management questions, requests, and concerns in a timely manner
• Works closely with the hiring managers, in partnership with Talent Acquisition, to establish and forecast people needs, establish staffing priorities, and manage related changes
• Updates and audits employee records in HRIS and maintains employee electronic files, reviewing, scanning, and processing
• Respond in a timely manner to all employment verification requests by completing verbal and written verifications, including composing employment verification letters
• Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
• Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including weekly updates to employee files, salary adjustments, collect and review hourly timesheets
• Maintain employee personnel records.
• Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
• Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
• Maintain and update company organizational charts through Visio
• Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
• Ad-hoc projects as needed
• Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in Human Resources related field, or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Human Resources role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with intermediate or above Excel experience required
• HRIS experience, Workday strongly preferred
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to think proactively and analytically
• Candidate must be detail oriented, deadline driven, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
