Supervisor, Art Outsourcing - Legends Of Runeterra

Job Description

As a Riot Outsource Manager, you will help connect product teams to the right external partners while improving art outsource infrastructure and practices. You will build meaningful and trusting relationships through clear two-way communication. Your approach will ensure sustainable production without compromising quality. A perfect blend between a veteran production artist and logistics expert, you will provide art direction and strive to make the outsourcing experience truly world-class and engaging for all parties involved.

As a Supervisor, Art Outsourcing on the Legends of Runeterra team, you will report to the Illustration Manager. You will collaborate with the team's partner studios and external artists to support illustration efforts. You'll be responsible for establishing the cadence of illustration deliverables and track the progress of external illustration development.

Responsibilities:
• Commission a high volume of illustration artwork
• Work with Art Leads to generate and provide art feedback to our external partners in a timely manner
• Monitor external partner submissions to ensure consistency and quality over all incoming art assets, adhering to technical specifications
• Participate in crafting art briefs with our external partners alongside the Narrative Lead to support execution of deliverables
• Participate in team brainstorming sessions for future Runeterra creative expressions
• Provide art support with detailed paintovers, art rendering, asset creation, and approved asset implementation/integration, as needed

Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of professional experience working on commercial art illustration and/or commissions.
• Professional experience handling several art vendors concurrently, or professional experience working with multiple internal and external partners.
• Professional experience with asset production management
• Professional experience working in Adobe Photoshop or Clip Studios
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate conversations with other artists, and business leaders.
• Strong understanding of art fundamentals - line, shape, color texture, and space

Desired Qualifications:
• Understanding of Legends of Runeterra both as a game and lore
• Professional experience as a 2D generalist

• (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $102,000.00 - $143,200.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
