Job Description

As a Senior Technical Writer on the Riot Game Operations Docs Hub team, you will be a guide for translating technical language, verbiage, and designs into high-quality documentation related to multiple web services, infrastructure systems, and diagrams. You will be reporting directly to the Manager of the DocuPortal Team.

As a Rioter working in the Riot Game Operations team, you'll join a tight-knit team that shares our focus on player experience, rejection of convention for its own sake, and passion for gaming. With general guidance from a team of dedicated, Engineering Rioters, you will craft content that increases client partner education.

Responsibilities:
• Independently conduct interviews and strategy sessions with product owners, engineers, solutions architects, and others to gather information to create and edit content
• Take ownership of content for all assigned projects including facts gathering, quality assurance, file organization and management, writing and manipulating code samples
• Provide accurate, complete, and well written content that all audience levels understand (technical and non-technical)

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in CS or another related technical/communications field
• 3 + years as a technical writer in the tech industry
• Excellent technical writing skills including editing and formatting
• Experience working with technology teams, or within the tech space, to help document processes, procedures, user guides, and diagrams for systems
• Experience with source code written in Java, C++, or JavaScript
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Proficiency with Markdown HTML text editor and Google suite
• Validated experience creating and developing technical content

• Production of deliverables unerringly on schedule with the highest quality possible
• Understanding of source control systems and maintaining multiple versions of content
