Job Description
Services Producers enable teams to deliver reliable, scalable systems that power the player experience across the entire game. By combining strong production fundamentals with operational discipline, they bring clarity, predictability, and accountability to complex service ecosystems. Services Producers work across engineering, live operations, Riot partners, and vendors to ensure foundational services are built, operated, and improved with intent.
As a Senior Technical Producer for Foundational Services & Operations on an unpublished R&D product, you will own production for foundational services that support the entire game. You will operate at the intersection of development and live operations, managing scope, dependencies, and delivery while also owning operational rhythms, incident processes, and service health reviews. This role reports into Foundation Operations Leadership and requires deep experience producing and operating live services at scale.

Responsibilities:
• Own production for foundational core backend services, managing backlogs, scope, schedules, and delivery across multiple engineering teams.
• Drive execution through strong Agile practices, including sprint planning, prioritization, velocity tracking, and dependency management.
• Maintain clear visibility of work through JIRA, ensuring epics, stories, risks, and cross-team dependencies are accurately tracked and actively managed.
• Coordinate feature delivery across internal teams and external partners, balancing capacity, timelines, and operational risk.
• Lead operational review cadences, including preparing agendas, reviewing service health, surfacing risks, and driving follow-up actions to completion.
• Partner with release management to deliver builds across platforms globally
• Own incident management processes for services, including coordination during incidents, clear communication, and post-incident follow-through.
• Facilitate postmortems and retrospectives, translating operational learnings into concrete improvements in systems, tooling, or process.
• Partner closely with Live Operations and Product Support teams to align ownership, workflows, and expectations for service reliability.
• Dig into dashboards, metrics, and logs to understand service health, validate assumptions, and track progress against KPIs and targets.
• Provide clear reporting to Foundation Operations Leadership on delivery status, service health, risks, and operational trends.
Required Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience producing live services, backend systems, or platform technology in games or large-scale software.
• Proven experience owning production for services that operate at game-wide or platform scale.
• Strong experience running operational reviews and incident management processes in a live environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work with dashboards, KPIs, and operational metrics to guide decision-making.
• Deep familiarity with Agile production practices, including backlog management, estimation, and velocity tracking.
• Extensive experience using JIRA (or similar tools) to manage scope, dependencies, and delivery.
• Ability to coordinate work across multiple teams, disciplines, and external partners.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience supporting large-scale live service games.
• Familiarity with service monitoring, alerting, and operational tooling.
• Experience working in blended production and live operations roles.
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!
