Job Description
As a Senior Manager, Software Engineering on the Teamfight Tactics (TFT) team, you will lead a team responsible for building the tools and systems that enable us to ship and operate the game, including platforms for personalized player experiences, messaging, and data management. You'll work closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure these systems are scalable, reliable, and efficient. This role will also oversee live operations and release processes, ensuring smooth transitions from development to live game support. Teamfight Tactics is a multi-platform game, supporting PC, Android, and iOS, so cross-platform experience is beneficial. You will report to the Senior Director of Software Engineering.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the engineering strategy and technical roadmap for systems that support the build, release, and live operation of the game, including platforms for personalization, testing, and messaging.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure smooth updates and feature launches, with an emphasis on operational stability.
• Lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and ensure scalable, maintainable systems.
• Oversee the planning and execution of engineering work, from discovery and design to live operations.
• Ensure the reliability and cost-efficiency of systems that power player-facing features.
• Build and scale the engineering team, ensuring strong talent acquisition and development practices.
• Foster a culture of leadership, innovation, and technical excellence across the engineering organization.
Required Qualifications:
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of leading teams to build scalable, reliable software systems
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to partner across departments to drive successful outcomes
• Experience leading team through feature development (planning, execution, delivery, post-release support)
• Experience with software development, including shipping one or more products on large code bases that span a range of platforms and tools.
• Experience collaborating across departments to create solutions.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience managing a new team or building out a new engineering function.
• Familiarity with Teamfight Tactics or similar games.
• Experience working with platform systems for personalization, messaging, or analytics.

• (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $218,300.00 - $304,300.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
