That's where you come in: You will partner closely with Finance, Enterprise Tech, and external vendors to implement best-in-class solutions, and drive technology, process and data maturity for this domain.
As the Senior Manager, Application Engineering (Finance Technology), you will be responsible for building the team, defining and driving the technology strategy for Riot's finance platforms, including Coupa (Procurement/AP), Concur (Expense Management / Travel), OneStream (EPM, Financial Planning). This role will ensure that our finance systems are scalable, well-integrated, and aligned with business needs.
The ideal candidate combines a strong technical and finance background with a track record of delivering business value through technology. They bring deep expertise in finance processes and systems, and have successfully led global implementations and integrations in complex environments.
The role will report to the Director, Enterprise Systems and Delivery Management.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the long-term Finance Technology roadmap in partnership with Finance teams, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
• Lead global implementations, administration, integrations, and optimizations for finance systems (Coupa, Concur, OneStream).
• Establish best practices for system governance, security, and compliance, working closely with Finance stakeholders and executives.
• Drive process automation and enhance financial data flows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Sourcing, Travel and Expense and FP&A teams to understand pain points and drive continuous improvements.
• Evaluate and manage outsourced Application Managed Services (AMS) partnerships, ensuring cost-effectiveness and service quality.
• Act as the technical advisor and subject matter expert for finance systems, providing guidance on emerging technologies.
• Support change management efforts to drive system adoption and process standardization.
Required Qualifications:
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field - or equivalent experience blending finance domain knowledge with technology delivery.
• 8 or more years of experience as a people manager building and leading teams in an Engineering Manager role or similar.
• 12 or more years of experience in finance system implementation and administration, including software selection, global rollouts, system decommissioning, and support of finance functions such as Coupa, Concur, and OneStream.
• Strong knowledge of integrations, data flows, and finance system security best practices.
• Experience managing AMS (Application Managed Services) providers and external consulting engagements.
• Experience driving change in fast-paced environments and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience integrating Oracle ERP with upstream/downstream finance systems (e.g., Coupa, Concur, OneStream), including understanding of data models, APIs, and key process integrations.
• Experience leading process optimization and automation initiatives (e.g., RPA, AI-driven finance tech).
• Experience with agile principles, software development and testing methodologies (waterfall, Scrum, rapid prototyping, XP, DevOps etc).
• Experience in regulated industries, including data governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Experience with integration platforms (Workato, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.).
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position!
