Product Leads at Riot lead teams and products from conception through to launch and ensure members of their cross-discipline team can effectively move features through the development cycle out to players. We create and align teams to product vision, develop and execute the operational strategy of our product, have a deep understanding of player needs, competitors, and market conditions, and are able to balance scope, quality and time to predictably deliver at a high quality bar for players.
As Sr. Manager, Production for Events on Wild Rift, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of the events experience for Wild Rift, globally. You will partner closely with Riot and Tencent stakeholders to ensure that Wild Rift delivers a successful and resonant MMOBA events experience for players. You will work with all disciplines and partners to ensure you and your team are effective, efficient, and always targeting the most resonant experience for players. You will report into the initiative product lead.
Responsibilities:
• Create and drive alignment on a mobile events strategy and framework that is audience-driven, effectively balances global vs. regional player preferences, and designed for sustainability
• Work closely with leaders across Riot and Tencent to manage and unify mobile events goals, design, and development
• Evaluate competitive products to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities
• Lead the Events team and manage producers while fostering a healthy and collaborative work environment
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experiencing leading teams and products in gaming, tech, or related industries
• Experience in vision and strategy creation through to execution of multiple features in complex problem spaces on at least one mobile game
• Experience with successful partner management across cultures
Desired Qualifications:
• Fluency in Mandarin
• Experience in mobile games and/or the MOBA genre
• Knowledgeable of the League of Legends IP and its alternate universes
