About us:
Founded in 2007, PENSKE AUTOSPORT is an American racing team competing in the all-electric FIA Formula E World Championship. We are seeking a talented sales professional who shares our passion for racing and competition.
Job overview:
The Sales and Partnership Director will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in sales leadership and partnership development, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. The Sales & Partnership Director is responsible to research, identify, negotiate and close sponsorship and partnership deals to achieve team revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals
• Research, identify and track sponsorship prospects within target industries and segments
• Pitch, negotiate and close sponsorship deals to achieve team revenue goals
• Lead and direct ongoing sponsorship sales presentations with internal and external partners; develop positive relationships with prospects to build a robust funnel of prospects
• Provide weekly reporting of sales metrics including pipeline generation, account status, revenue and quota attainment, and relevant sponsor interaction
• Develop and track KPIs for each partnership to achieve each sponsor's objective
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Develop and execute partnership strategies that align with business objectives.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with partners and clients to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to stay ahead of the curve.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.

Qualifications / skills:
• Proven experience as a Sales Director, Partnership Director, or in a similar senior sales/partnership role
• Proven experience selling sponsorship packages
• Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales and partnership strategies
• Knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
• Experience developing engaging and impactful sales plans and presentations, promotional campaigns, proposals and associated contract negotiations
• Multilingual is a plus
Work Environment:
• An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential.
• The role requires extensive domestic and international travel
As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.
Typical wage range: $130k - $150k plus quarterly commission. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.
