Responsibilities

You will be part of a team that is responsible for building a variety of different internal tools used by our partners in QA and development. The purpose of this team is to enable robust automated testing of PlayStation Hardware, primarily but not limited to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This requires the ability to jump rapidly between different tech stacks for the tools we support, which include:
• A robust set of pytest plugins in an Appium Based test environment
• Web Services (both node.js based and python based) used to support test automation
• Command line tools
• Python libraries for interacting with hardware debugging interfaces

This role also requires constant communication with teams throughout the company, both on-site in San Francisco, and with other offices, US and international

Required Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge
• Strong Python experience, involving sophisticated projects, released to internal or external parties
• Software testing or tools experience
• Experience with the Github workflow
• Experience supporting software releases, either internal or public
• Experience driving the design and architecture of a major software project

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
• Experience with at least one modern web application framework such as Angular/Ember.js/React
• Experience with both Node.js and Python
• Experience developing or testing a non-PC device (phone/game console/set-top box, etc.)
• Experience with Selenium or Appium
• Japanese language familiarity a plus
