Job Description
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be a key player in continuing to foster the growth and development of this community. Contributing both directly and indirectly through the engineers in your development pod. The particular agile pod in question is focused on our game's core architecture (SDK Integration, Mobile Platform solutions, IAP, Chat, etc). In addition, you will partner with our cross-discipline game partners to push the goals and projects of the team forward.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Be responsible for the overall success of your development pod.
• Mentor and coach your pod to push them forward towards their goals.
• Be an exemplar of ''What Good Looks Like'' for your pod.
• Be a strong conduit of information for our cross-discipline partners
• Be an agent of efficiency supporting directly and through your podmates the timely delivery of features and systems.
• Ensure technical design of systems meet team standards.
• Synthesize high level requests into an actionable and approachable task list.
• Be an advocate for process and workflow improvements.
• Understand the high-level goals of the business and ensure our implementations align with said goals.
• Write and deliver strongly designed highly efficient system solutions
Requirements…
• Experience leading a team of game engineers to deliver games (From concept to completion)
• Experience/Interest in learning full stack development (Server and Client)
• A lead with a strong technical design skills
• Strong Unity/C# skills and the ability to code and architect game systems and tools (Typescript and Lua a plus but not required)
• A strong interest in the gaming landscape, understanding what contributes to a games success and what contributes to their failure. (an interest in online/mobile games is preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Mobile Development experience
• Performance minded, understanding the process of profiling and optimization
• Experience working on a live service game
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and able to work independently
• Creativity in problem-solving and the ability to think outside of the established solutions

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $126,000.00 - $234,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
