Senior HR Generalist - 12 month FTC
Department overview:
We are Media Molecule, a multi-award winning game developer and part of the wider PlayStation Studios group. We have a history of creating outstanding games such as LittleBigPlanet, Tearaway and most recently, the BAFTA Award winning Dreams. It's a fantastic time to join us as we embark on our next adventure, defining and executing the vision for our next project and settling into our gorgeous, newly refurbished studio in central Guildford. We are now searching for a talented, creative Senior HR Generalist to join the team!
What you'll be doing:
Reporting to the HR Director, the Senior HR Advisor will provide operational HR support to the Studio. Key responsibilities will include;
• Ownership of the full Employee Lifecycle from onboarding / induction through to exit interview, ensuring a positive, inclusive employee experience that is aligned with Mm's core values.
• Build strong working relationships across the business, providing proactive and pragmatic HR advice and support to managers and employees.
• Manage the HR inbox, responding to day-to-day employee queries and ensuring compliance with HR policies.
• Manage and maintain the HR events calendar, championing and promoting events internally and encouraging employee engagement.
• Organise and manage L&D initiatives for the studio, engaging with suppliers, scheduling courses and workshops and collating employee feedback.
• Assist in the management of employee relations including absence management, change management.
• HR reporting and systems, providing insights on key metrics, creating and collating monthly HR reports.
• Submit monthly payroll report to central payroll team.
• In partnership with the Lead Recruiter, process offer letters and contracts for new hires and contractors.
• Partner with the HR Director on HR projects and process improvements including DE&I, Employer Branding and L&D.
What we are looking for:
• Previous experience in a generalist HR role gained within a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrable knowledge of HR processes, procedures and UK employment law.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
• Top tier organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive and proactive approach, happy to contribute at all levels as part of a high performing HR team, from HR administration through to HR projects.
