Data Processing Assistant (Contract)
Overview:

The role of this Data Processing Assistant position is to support and communicate tasks associated with PlayStation Studios QA (PSS QA) allocation data, as well as creating and managing global reports for teams within the Translation Team and department. Our ideal team member is bilingual in Japanese & English and brings knowledge from an activity-based environment where costs are allocated to product. We are looking for an individual that can look at and face challenges with optimism and always look for ways to be helpful and improve the team.

What you'll be doing:
• Assist in managing weekly, biweekly, and monthly task & cost allocation for various teams in PSS QA
• Compile, verify, sort, and enter allocation data into necessary systems
• Communicate monthly reports for serviced teams and calibrate any misalignments in both English & Japanese
• Assist and partner BSI with developing regular or ad-hoc reports to appraise performance
• Generate reports to support critical analysis of team performance through analysis of important metrics
• Partner closely with key regional team members and finance staff to develop understanding of regional accounting timelines, practices, and systems
• Perform support tasks for new and on-going initiatives within the Translation Team and department
• This role extends to JP, UK and US to perform work in English with groups outside Japan using email, Excel, PowerPoints, etc.
• Work together with team members as well as communicate and collaborate with remote members from different cultures and departments.

What we are looking for:
• Some level of proficiency in both English and Japanese is required
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel (pivots, sumifs, vlookups, etc.).
• Be versatile, working with large volumes of data. (SQL or VBA experience a plus!)
• Ability to quickly assimilate new processes and technologies
• Personal time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to ensure that deadlines are met
• Strong communication skills (speaking, listening, and written)
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Self-starter with ability to work in a fluid environment
• Interest in Games and passion for the Game industry
• Collaborative worker in cross functional/regional teams
• Adaptability and flexibility based on changing business directives and priorities
• High cross-cultural sensitivity and awareness (integrated regional teams)
• The ideal individual will be very customer oriented and able to work with diverse groups easily

Desirable:
• Proficiency in both English and Japanese with level equivalent to TOEIC 750 for English/JLPT N2 for Japanese preferred
• General knowledge of both game development and general software development industries is preferred
• Experience with Tableau, ServiceNow, Atlassian tools would be a plus
• BA/BS in Data processing, finance or related field is preferred
