Job Title: Vice President, RenderMan

Duties: Provide the technical vision for a software rendering product line and work closely with customer leaders to identify production challenges and their potential solutions. Work with business manager to ensure product line is sane, sellable and successful. Work with engineering development leads to ensure that the product development plans align with customer requirements and industry developments. Work with ISVs and HSVs to ensure that development is targeting correct platforms. Work with Support and QA Manager to ensure excellent support record is maintained. Contribute to the development efforts through design proposals, design reviews, software development and bug fixes. Work with legal and development staff to ensure RenderMan intellectual property is protected. Build/sustain a working environment that facilitates the efficient deployment of world class products. Domestic travel to various unanticipated sites required up to 25% of time. May telecommute.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 60 months of experience in job offered or in a software development occupation. Alternatively, will accept an additional two (2) years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree and 60 months of experience as stated. Position requires 5 years of experience in the following:

Developing CG production tools; GUI Application Development; RIB, RenderMan, and RSL; Managing a large-scale software development team; Commercial software marketing; Software product planning; Awareness of technology trends in film industry.
