Job Description
The Manager/Director of Partnership Sales will focus on generating revenue for the Philadelphia Phillies through marketing partnerships with local, regional, national, and international brands. Qualified candidates will understand the marketing goals and objectives of potential new and current Phillies partners, with the ability to demonstrate how a Phillies partnership can achieve those goals and objectives. Qualified candidates will be self-motivated solution providers with a demonstrated ability to sell and activate marketing partnerships for brands.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Present, negotiate, and sell sponsorships to new and current partners
• Achieve/Exceed individual and department sales goals and budget by developing new and renewing current Phillies partners
• Work with client solutions team to identify prospects and create proposals in pursuit of individual and department sales goals
• Collaborate with other departments to customize partnership opportunities for prospects and renewing partners
• Provide regular accountability of prospecting and selling activities
• Oversee execution of sold partnerships to ensure delivery of agreed-upon sponsorship assets
• Attend games and other events to support the execution of partnerships and establish and grow personal relationships with team partners
• Special projects/other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• Minimum 5-7 years of successful sales and business development experience for a sports or entertainment company
• Strong sales acumen and proven prospecting and selling skills
• Existing relationships with brands and agencies currently investing in sports marketing
• Ability to create and negotiate customized sponsorship proposal
• Relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
• Ability to manage multiple tasks against deadlines in a fast-paced business environment
