Associate, Sales
Penguin Random House
New York, NY
Penguin Random House Publisher Services, which provides sales and distribution services to a wide roster of independent client publishers, is seeking a Title Manager to join our team. Supporting a Sales Director and working with a team of two Managers and an Assistant, this role is an amazing opportunity for someone curious and analytical who can pivot seamlessly between multiple projects daily. We've created this role because of both the exciting growth over the past few years, as well as how the supply chain and logistics has impacted our industry, and so we're looking for someone to work alongside the team, taking guidance from them, while also carving your own path.
If you are someone who can get lost in a good spreadsheet, identifying patterns and helping it all make sense, who is eager to develop, streamline, and improve processes and work across multiple Sales, Warehouse, and Operational teams, this would be an ideal role for you!
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
• Maintain title records, upload publisher's laydown goals, create estimating schedules, collect and/or enter estimates, and share print recommendations
• Work collaboratively across sales and warehouse departments to collect and communicate sales projections/forecasts, allocate inventory as needed, and release orders
• Identify and review sales and POS trends that impact our supply needs using PowerBI-based sales reporting system; generate and share analysis regarding seasonal, annual, or title-specific sales opportunities and inventory needs
• Develop, implement, and maintain best practices for sales forecasting and inventory management and communicate those best practices to colleagues and clients at all levels
We'd love to see that you have:
• At least 3 years' experience managing inventory and/or sales, preferably within publishing or the media industry, though all will be considered
• Strong project management skills including the ability to multitask, prioritize, and proactively and creatively problem solve
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adjust depending on your audience
• Experience in working to deadlines and an ability to take initiative, as you'll be building the roadmap for this new position
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP and Power BI experience a plus but not required
As the newest Title Manager at PRHPS, not only will you have an opportunity to join a globally recognized business, in an industry that's experienced some incredible growth, but you'll be working within a successful team that's going from strength to strength. To be considered, apply now and showcase how you'll shape the way for PRHPS!
