Sales Assistant – PYR

Penguin Random House is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the team responsible for selling Penguin Young Readers books to National Accounts, including Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Reporting to the Sales Director, National Accounts, Penguin Young Readers, t his role will provide assistance to our sales managers and o ffers an excellent opportunity to learn all about the children's book selling process in a fast-paced environment!

Responsibilities:
• Prepare daily billing and orders reports
• Prepare weekly billing and POS reports
• Gather and upload seasonal estimates per department deadlines
• Maintain tracking grids for seasonal titles and other promotions
• Manage timeline and materials for account presentations and mailings
• Gather and upload publisher assets for account
• Prepare seasonal presentations and annual business plans and reviews
• General administrative prep and tasks for department meetings

Requirements:
• Interest in sales
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to successfully prioritize and work on multiple projects at a time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on numbers and financials
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Prior experience in retail, bookselling, and/or office environments a plus
