PBS KIDS seeks a passionate and motivated Production Associate to support the redesign of pbskids.org and PBS KIDS series sites. As the number one educational media brand for kids, PBS KIDS helps children ages 2-8 learn lessons that last a lifetime. Through media and community-based programs, PBS KIDS wants children to see themselves uniquely reflected and celebrated in lovable, diverse characters who serve as positive role models, and to explore their feelings and discover new adventures along the way. As a top free, educational destination, pbskids.org provides engaging interactive content, including digital games and streaming video. The pbskids.org redesign aims to support this mission and to improve access, discovery, and engagement with our trusted content.

The ideal Production Associate will be able to prioritize and track production and delivery of series site assets in coordination with content, product management, and design teams; and have prior experience in digital content production and asset management.

Key responsibilities include:
• Create and maintain content and image assets in a content management system (CMS) for PBS KIDS series content
• Communicate with external stakeholders and IP owners to facilitate creative review and approvals of feature graphics and other creative assets for web
• Track creative approvals of graphics and site design elements related to the redesign of pbskids.org
• Curate content collections by series and across PBSKIDS.org and the PBS KIDS Games App to support key programming and promotional priorities
• Generate detailed project timelines that communicate project status and interface with other internal departments, Product and Design teams, on delivery and review of web assets
• Serve as integral member of PBS KIDS Content team, participating in series programming and interactive content production planning and editorial reviews
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements for success:
• At least 2 years experience in digital publishing or media production or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as communications, media production, or technology; candidates with other degrees and relevant project management work experience are encouraged to apply
• Superior organizational skills and orientation to details such as the ability to set a schedule and keep to deadlines, prioritize tasks, maximize efficiency and present data effectively.
• General understanding of web technologies, digital image file formats, and user experience for web design
• A positive team player and a creative problem-solver who can effectively collaborate with colleagues from multiple disciplines
• Proficiency in and/or ability to learn relevant software, programs, etc.
• Product development experience within children's media preferred
