Job Description
Overview and Responsibilities:

Are you looking to grow a career in Human Resources? We are looking for a multifaceted Human Resources Coordinator to support CBS Sports and CBS Sports Digital HR functions! This position will report to the Vice President/Director of Human Resources. The HR Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of all administration within the department.
• Be the first person of contact for HR inquiries from staff, non-staff (project-based) and contract employees; answer general questions, research issues and/or refer to HR Business Partners or appropriate HR Centers of Excellence partners, e.g., AskHR, Learning & Development, Compliance, Compensation, HRIS, Benefits, Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and Payroll to find solutions and give mentorship by responding to questions and issues in a timely manner. Advance all issues/blockers to HRBPs as needed and ensure they receive regular updates on all the above.
• Assist with the coordination of Workplace Culture and Diversity Initiatives and other events
• Support the HR team in the execution of the annual performance management processes
• Provide ongoing support for special projects and key initiatives
• Assist in crafting incremental headcount and backfill position requests and coordinate the recruitment process, i.e applying job descriptions to develop job postings, collaborating with hiring managers to identify incremental or backfill needs, compensation leveling, attending recruitment kick off meetings, offer approvals tracking/reporting and all functions related to the onboarding process
• Process project-based employee new hire requests using company forms and assist managers with questions regarding staff new hires, transfers, promotions, pay changes/adjustments, and contract changes
• Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition and HR Operations teams to process and track hiring and employee change documents for all the various staff employees.
• Support Learning and Development initiatives and coordinate ad hoc training requests, manage invitations and RSVP with tools like EventBrite and Google Forms, send marketing materials to staff, manage logistics for virtual or onsite sessions, and follow up with participants using tools like SurveyMonkey.
• Coordinate/drive the onboarding and termination processes including system processing, logistics, welcome kits, offboarding documentation, and exit interviews to help ensure smooth transitions and track employee feedback to determine any trends
• Support the data entry of writer contracts that need to be saved, submitted to HR Ops, and then confirmed that they have been entered into payroll.
• Work in partnership with the HR Data Analytics team to produce/run query-based reports and report analyses in the areas of headcount, culture surveys, new hire/terms, turnover, DEI, and other employee data as needed.
• Maintain and update org charts and employee headcount files.
• Maintain and review HRIS data to ensure accuracy and generate ad hoc reports to divisional management to ensure data integrity

Basic Qualifications:
• 1-3 years Human Resources related experience required as a HR Assistant or HR Coordinator.
• Basic working knowledge of the main areas of HR - such as Recruitment, Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation, Org Development.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills required.
• Strong diplomacy and adaptability attributes.
• Must have the ability to prioritize and complete in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical skills required (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Additional Qualifications:
• Experience supporting an HR Business Partner, or experience working within an HR Department preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience a plus!
