Editorial Assistant (Freelance)
We're looking for a creative, strategic and detail-oriented person who's interested in joining an innovative in-house advertising, marketing and branding studio. This role is perfect for someone who wants to learn more about the media industry and how a thriving, multifunctional creative group operates. This position is an entryway into our writing staff, so creative writing experience is necessary.
In this role, you'll play an integral part of Creative & Strategy by supporting both the Editorial team and partnering with the Executive Assistant to the EVP. As such, you'll be responsible for a wide range of duties that will provide valuable exposure to different areas of the business.
Responsibilities include:
• • Supporting Editorial team on projects with research and brainstorming.
• Drafting communications for our EVP and senior team members
• Developing content plans and assets for social media and department Slack channels
• Conducting industry research and translating it into presentations
• Organizing departmental outings and initiatives
• Scheduling and planning staff meetings
• Coordinating attendance for conferences and events
• Maintaining status reports, databases and portfolios
• Assisting in reconciling expenses
• Editorial proofreading and copywriting as primary duties are mastered
• Providing coverage for the Executive Assistant occasionally when required
Basic Qualifications:
• B.A. required (English, Communications or Journalism major preferred)
• Writing experience required (can be via internships or in school)
• 0-2 years of experience; recent graduates encouraged to apply
• Internship in marketing, advertising, media or related field a plus, but not required
• Previous administrative experience a plus
• Has knowledge of Apple operating system and experience with software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT; Apple Keynote; Outlook; Slack

• Desire to learn about the media industry and work in a creative agency
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $47000.0 - 57500.0.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
