Overview & Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing various video and audio compressions applying a variety of codecs and equipment, digital packing and delivery to external portals, communicating with external partners, and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
• Transcode source assets to varying delivery specifications for distribution
• Visual QC of transcoded assets (A/V quality)
• Audio, Subtitle, Closed Caption sync verification against created elements
• Verification of automated QC reports
• Metadata packaging to client specification
• Order creation/management within Xytech Media Pulse
• Work closely with external partners to satisfy client's needs

Basic qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years experience in digital content supply chain
• MAC & PC Operating Systems, MS Office programs (Excel)
• Familiarity with video codecs, audio codecs, caption/subtitle formats, including (Prores, MP4, AAC, PCM SCC, VTT)

Additional Qualifications
• Detail and Process oriented
• Initiative, and ability to prioritize and work autonomously while adhering to established team procedures
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required to effectively communicate with Company personnel and outside parties
• Knowledge of digital content creation workflows, processes, techniques and distribution processes
• Knowledge of digital distribution platforms
• Transcode profile setup/creation
• Experience with automated QC software/systems
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Media Encoder, Photoshop)
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Excel
