Job Description
Overview & Responsibilities:

The Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Vice President of the Motion Picture Story Department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage schedule and coordinates daily meetings and appointments.
• Handle phone calls and emails, taking action when appropriate and following up.
• Prepare agendas, memos, research, and reports for the Creative Group.
• Compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports and other documents such as expense reports.
• Track competitive projects, spec sales, and producer deals.
• Update and help manage creative development report.
• Handle script and coverage requests for the Story Dept.
• Read Development Scripts & Writing Samples as requested/needed.
• Help oversee Intern Staff.
• Maintain office supplies.
• Support Story Department staff and readers.
• Create art for and maintain release boards for the creative group.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree.
• 2+ years of experience in Development/Story-related capacity.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FileMaker, Final Draft, and Internet Software.

Additional Qualifications:
• Knowledge of FileMaker Pro InDesign, Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat preferred.
• Excels in a fast-paced environment, self-directed, resourceful, and adaptable.
• Professionalism, positive can-do attitude with a sense of humor.
• Well-read, familiar with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with staff, other administrators, and senior management.
• Extremely organized and can develop efficient organizational systems.
• Meticulous with the ability to manage multiple high priorities.
• Must have excellent follow-up and follow-through skills.
• Story Department experience and familiarity with Paramount applications are highly preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $50,000.00 - 60,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
