The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day, highly-detailed tasks that keep our newly-formed strategic Talent Acquisition team functioning at a high level. From role kickoff through to onboarding, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator will play a major part of our full-cycle recruiting efforts to bring great diverse talent to NPR. This role will report to the Interim Head of Talent Acquisition and then, at a later time, Director of Talent Acquisition once that role is filled. (We have an opening for the Director role right now as well.) The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be an innovative collaborator, wants to grow in his/her/their talent career, and understands how important his/her/their role is in the overall Talent team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Helps to ensure candidates receive outstanding candidate experiences with NPR
• Routes new roles for approval and posts roles on appropriate job board sites
• Schedules interviews for hiring managers and interviewing teams
• Prepares and sends written offer letters to candidates
• Starts and monitors background checks of candidates
• Pushes new hires to onboarding team through appropriate channels
• Juggles multiple requisitions at any one time at various stages in the hiring process
• Partners with Talent Acquisition team to build upon NPR's employer branding
• Partners with Recruiters and other Talent Acquisition Coordinators to uphold a psychologically safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all members of the team
• Ensures TA team is able to move with transparency and speed
• Keeps organized with high attention to detail
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: No degree needed

WORK LOCATION:

This is a remote permitted role.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Passion and commitment to NPR's mission and values
• 1-2 years of professional experience, preferably in the HR or Talent Acquisition space
• Knowledge or willingness to learn Talent Acquisition operations and processes
• Highly detail-oriented and organized
• High level of follow-up and follow-through
• Ability to operate with tact, discretion and sensitivity with respect to confidential information
• Ability to manage different and competing timelines on various roles
• Maintains consistent approach to administrative tasks
• Effective time management
• Ability to communicate effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders
• Proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, and Applicant Tracking Systems (preferably Greenhouse)
• Ability to support the organization in shifting through transformational change
• Demonstrates and upholds the highest levels of integrity, ethical conduct, and stewardship

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Previous Talent Acquisition Coordinator experience using Greenhouse ATS
• Experience in the media industry
• Experience working within a unionized environment
