Job Description
Senior Director, League Leadership & Inclusion (Learning & Development)
Overview /Objective:
Leads the design and execution of talent development processes and organizational learning strategies across the league office. Also serves as an advisor to clubs on talent development best practices and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
• Direct the league office talent assessment process, including performance management and goal-setting processes.
• Oversee the Executive Coaching program and manage external coaching vendors.
• Oversee league surveys and insights.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive engagement, training, and career mobility strategy.
• Lead the creation and execution of league office development programs for staff.
• Continual focus on technical and operational excellence and execution of talent development processes to deliver desired outcomes.
• Own the end-to-end annual performance management cycle, including planning, communication, training, and execution of all related processes.
• Serve as the primary facilitator for the league office's annual talent review, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
• Lead calibration sessions with senior leaders to ensure consistency and fairness in performance ratings and talent assessments.
• Design and deliver training for managers and leaders on effective performance management, feedback, and goal-setting techniques.
• Develop and maintain tools, templates, and resources to support the performance management process, including documentation and reporting.
• Analyze performance management data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement; present actionable insights to executive leadership.
• Facilitate the 9-box talent review process, guiding leaders in assessing potential and performance, and supporting succession planning and development strategies.
• Ensure integration of 9-box outcomes into broader talent development, succession planning, and leadership pipeline initiatives.
• Partner with HR and business leaders to address performance issues, support development plans, and drive continuous improvement in talent practices.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of performance management and talent review processes, recommending enhancements as needed.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field that emphasizes leadership, human capital management, or learning sciences.
• Advanced degree (Master's or MBA preferred) in Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Adult Learning, or a related discipline demonstrating formal expertise in leadership development, change management, and organizational behavior.
• Minimum 8 years' experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP, HRCI-SPHR, ATD CPLP, ICF Coaching Certification, or Korn Ferry/Hogan/Insights accreditation are highly desirable and reflect mastery of evidence-based talent practices.

Salary / Pay Range
This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
Salary
$180,000 - $215,000 USD
