Business Affairs Associate (External Agency Staff)
The Business Affairs Associate will work across both the Business Affairs and Rights & Clearances teams to provide day-to-day support for the content creation process with producers, creatives, and other executives.
Essential Functions
• Research, contact, and work with external parties to acquire materials to be used in our programming
• Review and analyze contractual terms to ensure all necessary rights are being acquired
• Coordinate deal requests and track outstanding agreements through execution, distribution, and filing (internally and externally)
• Draft contractual agreements for footage licenses, talent, and locations
• Manage cross-departmental operational trackers and status reports
• Review content for any potential issues, legal and otherwise
Required Education and Experience
• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school, or a combination of a four-year degree in Business Administration (or related field) plus four years of relevant work experience as a contract administrator/transactional paralegal in a law firm, legal department, or business affairs department
• 1-2 years of footage research experience in a production environment
• 1-2 years of experience working in footage licensing, including negotiating rates and terms
Preferred Education and Experience
• Experience in the business/legal side of the media and entertainment industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Proficiency in AirTable

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
• This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL's third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.
Salary / Pay Range

Salary
$1,400 - $1,700 USD
