Sales Assistant

Job Description

Join the exciting world of television and digital media sales with the nation's largest television operator, Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., and Legacy station WCIA 3. WCIA 3 is growing and adding another detail-oriented sales assistant to be an integral part of the sales team. This key position will support the entire advertising department and work closely with the Director of Sales.
• Work in collaboration with all facets of the sales department: national sales, local sales, digital sales, traffic, and research.
• Order entry and revisions.
• A resource to answer questions and provide information to our vast client base. Provide commercial advertising time information as needed.
• Support Director of Sales with reporting, creative projects, programming rates and planning special sales initiatives throughout the year.
• Support a team of hustling account executives with make goods, order entry, traffic, accounts receivables and building client presentations.
• Work in collaboration with News Director, Director of Sales, and in-house agency 509 Creative to create and execute on-air sponsorships and specials.
• Distribute reports to AEs and sales management when needed.
• Submit advertising copy instructions to the traffic department.
• Work with other sales support personnel when needed.
• Support other station departments and initiatives when needed.
• Perform or assist with additional projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:
• Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to multi-task with quick turnarounds in a fast moving department.
• Ability to work under strict deadlines.
• Personable with good verbal and written communications skills.
• Graphic design experience or interest.
• Ability to learn industry software.
