WGN AMERICA, a Nexstar Media Group national cable network based in Chicago reaching nearly 75 million homes, is seeking a News Graphic Designer for the LIVE, primetime national nightly newscast, News Nation. We're looking for a designer who is hungry to learn and create show opens, story telling animations and a variety of show and topical graphics on various software platforms as directed by the Art Director and News Executive Producers.

Additional Job Description
• Must have 5 years experience at an online, cable, broadcast or post-production facility.
• Must be able to work on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work nights and/or weekends.
• Must work well solo or with others in a collaborative, team environment.
• High level graphic design and typography skills are required.
• Basic motion design skills required. Intermediate to advanced level motion design skills a plus.
• High level skills in Photoshop, Illustrator are required.
• Basic to high level skills in After Effects required.
• Skills in Cinema 4D, Premiere, InDesign, Keynote, Powerpoint software is a plus.
• Strong interest in national news
• Job requires an undergraduate degree in graphic arts or equivalent experience.
