Local Sales Assistant - Part Time
WTAJ Your News Leader seeks a detail oriented and energetic individual to join our team as Part-time Sales Assistant. The primary role of the position is to help coordinate traffic orders and perform clerical functions required by the Sales team as needed. You'll work cohesively with our marketing executives and management to assist with maximizing station revenue opportunities from an order entry, traffic and accounting perspective. If you possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, are able to work both independently and within a team environment, and are a problem solver that strives to provide solutions then we'd love to speak to you about this opportunity!
• Performs all clerical functions for the Sales Department
• Maintains awareness of the most current traffic policies, practices and procedures
• Enters order, traffic and accounting data using computers, ledgers, orders and other resources
• Corresponds with agencies/advertisers and confers with coworkers to answer inquiries and resolve account problems
• Prepares forms and reports
• Monitors inventory
• Maintains files and other business records
• Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
• High School diploma
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Minimum one year's experience in clerical support or administrative assistance, preferably in the sales or media fields
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
