Title: Director , Sales Training ( National )

Reports to: Jennifer Staub, Vice President, Sales Training

Position Summary:

Reporting to the VP Sales Training, the Training Director will be responsible for working with national, network, and station sales teams, including leaders and sellers, to deliver, enhance, evolve, and execute product, sales process, systems, and related training needs. The Training Director will collaborate with internal and external team members on cross-functional training content promoting the application of a consistent and quality, scalable enterprise training program.

Responsibilities Include:
• Deliver engaging and interactive training content to enhance retention and transfer of knowledge
• Manage roll-out, delivery, and adoption of training for new and existing national, network, and digital sellers and leaders
• Build relationships and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, Vendor/Partners, Instructional Design team members, internal sales leaders, and other department trainers, to identify knowledge and skill gaps for target audience training needs; synthesize course design with the instructional designers; align priorities/materials/messaging; support knowledge acquisition and application.
• Develop and coordinate entry-level and advanced ILT classroom/field-based, virtual, guided, independent, social, and e-learning training for sales teams located across the US.
• Build certification process for national and network content
• Provide leadership in transforming existing sales training. Align training content with go-to-market strategy and value statements while reducing ramp time and turn-over
• Present course design and materials to internal stakeholder team and incorporate feedback
• Analyze, assess, and monitor post-training effectiveness and evaluations. Implement key metrics to track and communicate impact of training to stakeholders. Understand success and improvement opportunities.
• Audit sales calls and meetings to analyze rep acumen, provide coaching, and identify areas for improvement
• Recognize opportunities for new national and network training programs at the corporate, region, or station levels
• Partner with product marketing to ensure sellers know how and when to leverage value-based sales content and assets in go-to-market sales process
• Utilize instructional design, adult learning principles, and innovation strategies in conception, design, and development of engaging and informative learning experiences to support learning efforts
• Coordinate planning of virtual and in-person training programs, manage project timelines and budgets, maintain project checklists and documentation, facilitate , and manage guest training participants and speakers, and supply regular status updates of scheduled projects
• Generate supporting materials including job aids, checklists, infographics, simulations, roleplays, audio, video, reference materials
• Execute special projects or businesses initiatives as needed
• Demonstrate knowledge of national and local sales, media, TV, and digital environments
• Support, drive enrollments, manage, and continually improve an LMS/LM
• Review, update and edit existing training content and strategy to organize, manage, and keep current and innovative
• Work with other training managers to drive impact in a collaborative team environment and partner with cross-functional teams to drive and support training on key initiatives
• Support and advance corporate sales enablement initiatives
• Stay up to date with learning and development trends, innovations, technology, graphics, and e-learning trends

Salary Range: $133,750 - $145,000 base plus bonus

About you:
• Passion for training with 5+ years learning and development experience
• Current knowledge of effective learning development methods and platforms   
• Understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning, and coaching)  
• Experience organizing training activities in a corporate environment  
• Understanding of the lifecycle of training from analyzing training needs to creative content to delivery and impact evaluation
• Creativity in building training materials and delivery methods based on market needs to achieve sales objectives  
• Is familiar with the inclusion of gamification, scenarios, exercises, and activities to enhance the learning experience
• Enviable presentation skills including speaking, writing, and participant engagement
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks  
• Self-motivated, influential, problem-solving professional
• Proficient in MS Office, including Power Point, Learning Management Systems (LMS), content authoring, video, digital research, CRM/Sales Enablement and analytics tools  
• Sales or similar industry experience, a plus
• Experience with building and executing process training, including Sales Enablement tools and CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) platforms, a plus
• Understanding of national & local media landscape and current digital capabilities , a plus
• Flexibility and ability to travel
outside of office location up to 40 %, valid driver's license
• Work location minimum 3 days/week in NYC/Midtown Manhattan offices; WFH opportunity 2 days/week
