Job Description

- Coordinating and gathering incoming news video.
- Logging news events and flagging editorial for the Washington bureau, including Congress and the White House.
- Assisting correspondents and producers with editorial and production tasks.
- Greeting guests for news programs, escorting them to studios and preparing them for live shots. Working with the Chicago assignment desk and feed coordinators.
- Field-producing coverage of news events or elements for news reports.
- Assisting with scheduling and coordinating daily and future coverage through daybook and planning documents.
- News Research.
- Assisting photographers and editors with logistics and gear.
- Morning editorial/reporting

Desired qualifications -
- Strong journalistic writing skills, research skills, editorial judgment.
- Digital journalism experience
- Strong interest in and demonstrated knowledge of current affairs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadline pressure.
