Job Description
NewsNation is seeking an experienced Multi-Role Studio Operator to join our team. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality live broadcast programming from our East Hampton studio.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives under pressure, and has a flexible schedule that includes weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior experience in a broadcast studio environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate and manage robotic PTZ cameras, including framing, focus, and shading.
• Perform A2 audio duties, including microphone troubleshooting and IFB audio testing.
• Conduct quality control for teleprompter and return video signal paths.
• Load and manage monitor graphics for live broadcasts.
• Utilize ENPS for newsroom operations.
• Understand Haivision and TVU signal pathing for live feeds.
• Perform other duties as assigned by network leadership
Qualifications
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a broadcast news studio environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of studio operations and signal flow.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay Range: $45 to 52.00/hour (per experience)
