Job Description
NewsNation, America's fastest growing cable news network, is seeking to hire a Creative Director at its downtown Chicago location. The Creative Director will report directly to the Executive Creative Director and Vice-President of the NewsNation Creative Marketing team.

We are looking for an experienced Creative Director to provide our creative team with strong guidance, cutting-edge ideas, and production knowledge to launch successful promotion and marketing campaigns for the cable news network and the corresponding news website and social media platforms. Responsibilities include conceiving and implementing creative concepts, guidelines and strategies in various projects and overseeing them to completion, directing and motivating art directors, designers, writer/producers, etc. to help them use their talents effectively, and represent a body of creative work (on-air/radio spots, print and digital/social marketing materials) that effectively communicates the company's content, goals and brand strategies to our viewers, users, and clients.

The Creative Director will work with key stakeholders (the network's executives, strategists, research, public relations, sales, and digital/social) to help create, plan, and deliver marketing with an integrated strategic vision that includes everything from logo design all the way to comprehensive media outreach campaigns. Main areas of focus will include promotion and campaigns for television, radio, and key art for OOH, digital, print, etc., along with a marketing strategy across social media platforms, owned and off-channel, to capitalize on opportunities tied to our distinctive content and find ways to make big moments resonate louder, farther, wider, and longer. Will be comfortable analyzing data and operationalizing into actionable marketing.

Requirements and Skills:

Proven experience as a Creative Director, or in a similar creative role.

Hands-on experience in the creative process, marketing, graphic design, and brand development.

Experience working with outside agencies to execute tactically on News Nation's broader marketing strategy.
Outstanding leadership and organization skills to keep projects running smoothly and on deadline.

Contribute to a healthy and creative work environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and growth.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop/Illustrator, content management systems, project management tools, and extensive experience in a post-production environment including video/audio/graphic production preferred.

Strong understanding of the broadcast/cable industry, the role of marketing and promotion, and the ability to support internal departments such as programming, public relations, sales, research, and website/digital needs.

Ability to work well and communicate with clients and colleagues both as a teammate and a leader.
