The Opportunity

The Physical Security Operations team supports our corporate offices and studio locations across the globe. This Tokyo-based role with an East Asia focus will functionally report to the APAC Director of Physical Security Operations, based in Singapore. The APAC Regional Security Manager, also based in Singapore, will support day-to-day collaboration efforts to maintain alignment on operational needs across the region. You will be responsible for building our physical risk and security capabilities, keeping our people safe as well as optimizing preparedness and response to incidents. You will drive the implementation, development, and deployment of a comprehensive physical security program, fostering collaborative relationships with EHS, Workplace, Production Security and Intelligence, Talent, Legal, Comms, and GSOC amongst other cross-functional partners.

You're a thoughtful and tenured security practitioner with experience in developing regional corporate security requirements in a multinational company. Responsibilities:
• Articulate relevant security risks and provide guidance to cross-functional partners and regional/local leadership
• Implement a baseline approach for the physical security program to help assess the risk to our locations, support site selection and design of new facilities
• Manage and oversee access control security management, including coverage requirements, training, and post orders, where applicable
• Work with our Security Technology Integrations team to leverage frictionless security solutions
• Support, and where necessary, lead regional crisis/incident management, communications, and response
• Knowledge and understanding of fire and health and safety principles
• Respond to and support the investigation of safety/security emergencies and incidents
• Align & partner with the Production Security and Intelligence team to support production and events requirements, as required
• Leverage information in the geopolitical space to keep our workspaces and employees safe Increase resilience across the business by developing innovative methods to engage employees as they relate to personal, medical, and travel risks
• Strength and maintain collaborative external partnerships with local law enforcement, federal agencies, third-party vendors, and community organizations

Qualifications:
• At least 10 years of experience with increasing scope, responsibility, and complexity at a multinational company
• Relevant degree/professional qualification in security or related field
• Ability to identify, analyze, and explain security initiatives and needs to stakeholder
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience of living and working in Japan
• Fluent or native proficiency in Japanese
• Fluent or business proficiency in English
• Language proficiency in Korean is a plus
• A willingness to travel regionally in support of business objectives
