Our Talent Management team specifically plays a key role in this effort, and we are hiring a talent management professional to support our employees across APAC.

As a Manager, Talent Management & Learning you will work in close collaboration and partnership with a variety of internal partners to support and drive the execution of the Global Talent Management strategy and all things learning, growth, and development. This is a full-time, individual contributor position based in Tokyo, Japan, and reports to the Regional Lead, Talent Management.

Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

Strategic Partner
• Advise on Talent Management Strategies, with a strong awareness of regional and functional needs and nuances
• Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to leadership and our HR Business Partners
• Implement programs that will address business needs and support Netflix's unique culture.
• Support leadership development initiatives which enable managers to cultivate high-performing teams
• Facilitate learning multiple delivery mediums, including in-person training, virtual training, digital learning, and innovative strategies as well as creating ways to assess impact and success.
• Possess a strong ''stage presence'' and solid command of audiences large and small. Comfortable facilitating discussions on ambiguous or challenging topics. Can unify and focus a room to gain buy-in and consensus on highly contentious subjects while keeping participants engaged and supported.
• Review, evaluate and report on Talent Management and learning program effectiveness; analyze feedback from the business, to ensure alignment of Talent practices with business needs

Learning Practitioner
• Build relationships with key stakeholders, understanding the goals and strategies of the function/region.
• Collaborate on key capabilities with HRBPs which will fuel the company's creativity and growth
• When needed, perform needs assessments and analyses to identify and prioritize opportunities to identify and improve gaps in behavior-based, skill-based, and knowledge-based competencies.
• Set clear expectations for the development and implementation of learning solutions with stakeholders and partners
• Where applicable, support and facilitate team and leader effectiveness sessions at senior leadership offsites

Project/Program Management
• Responsible for programmatic planning, operations and communication (e.g. regional programs)
• Collect and analyze feedback on targeted program components. Identify program efficiency and proactively identify program risks and opportunities
• Partner on the central Talent Management strategy via agile project management workflows and planning
• Maintain tracking of projects and key initiatives, working in close partnership with the broader Talent Management and other Talent GBP teams; familiar with Asana project management software
• Work with Talent Management Coordinators to manage program operations, activities and contracting processes with learning vendors
• Manage tracking of project budget and all associated spending
• Where applicable, audit and approve vendor invoices

• Has strong communication skills in both English and Japanese

Preferred Experience
• You have experience in Training, Human Resources, Leadership Development, Talent Development / Talent Management, Organizational Development or related field
• You've supported scaling local, regional, global initiatives
• You've planned large scale programs or broader Talent efforts, specifically within the culture evolution or Talent Management, Learning & Organizational Development space
• You've led Agile and/or design thinking workflows and operating methods
• You are adept at use of survey and assessment tools to identify business needs and measure effectiveness of solutions
• You have exceptional group process and facilitation skills to all audiences, including executive leadership
