Responsibilities
Shop TODAY, the commerce arm of TODAY, is looking for an experienced Senior Social Media Editor to manage a portfolio of social platforms and a growing team. This person will be responsible for developing and producing creative social content, including video, to support audience growth and KPIs.

The ideal candidate must be an experienced social storyteller, have a passion for service journalism and should be proactive with the development and execution of creative multi-platform programming. They should be able to analyze data to develop and produce creative social and video strategy, and work in close collaboration with teams across editorial, art, production, audience development, business development, and legal and standards to help grow the brand.

We're looking for a leader with strong news judgment who understands social best practices and feels comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced media environment. Most importantly, they should have a good grasp on trends in the social sphere, how content performs on various platforms and the tactics used to grow commerce editorial in a competitive space.

Responsibilities:
• Manage Shop TODAY's social portfolio with the goal of meeting all commerce KPIs and upholding editorial standards and best practices
• Manage the Shop TODAY social media team, providing mentorship and guidance
• Develop and execute creative, data-driven strategies and content franchises tailored to each social media platform
• Strategically plan, produce and package video-first social content based on performance
• Oversee the execution of the daily budget, including optimization and copy edits
• Track and present performance and growth via weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting
• Collaborate with the art team and senior editors to package and promote daily content, special projects, partnerships and develop strategies around large tentpole events (Gift guides, Prime Day, etc.)
• Collaborate with the TODAY Digital social team to amplify Shop TODAY content
• Develop and maintain Shop TODAY's social media Style Guide
• Regularly provide stakeholders with data to inform takeaways and identify action items for growth

Qualifications/Requirements
• 5+ years editorial social experience at major media

brand, commerce experience a plus
• 1+ years social video experience at a major media

brand, commerce experience a plus
• 1+ years of management experience
• Proven track record of growing social reach through

multi-platform content
• Exceptional knowledge of grammar and AP Style
• Experience with copy editing for social media and video

production
• Deep understanding of mainstream and emerging social

platforms
• Comfortable analyzing data to develop editorial strategy
• Comfortable communicating with senior management
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and excellent

verbal/written communication skills
