Responsibilities
DIVISION PROFILE
NBCUniversal Global Distribution is responsible for the sales and distribution of NBC Universal product to all forms of television and new media platforms in over 200 territories across the globe, its revenue portfolio exceeding $5Bn per year. This includes a rich library of more than 4,200 feature films and 110,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming, and locally produced content from around the world. NBCUniversal Global Distribution is a division of Comcast NBCUniversal.

ROLE PROFILE
The Director, Operations will be part of a team handling the sales and avails, business proposals, product management, licensing of content, volume management agreement, client support and other matters involving the Global Distribution team and business for the Canadian region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales, Avails & Product Management
• Develop, manage and leverage relationships with cross-functional internal stakeholders across all NBCUniversal divisions in order to track details pertinent to all available products for licensing
• Monitor and stay up to date on industry trades and news on a continual basis to ascertain new series pick-ups and premiere date announcements; verify data with internal partners to confirm licensing availability for Canada
• Leverage internal reporting capabilities and knowledge gathering efforts to understand product availability
• Research distribution rights, music clearances and new media residuals across various platforms (Free TV, Specialty Cable, SVOD, AVOD/BOD, Internet) with an understanding of the impact to licensing ability
• Manage information flow to English and French client base relating to product availability, updates and screening material, including distribution of customized sales & avails reports and sell sheets
• Supporting VP Sales and EVP Sales by driving awareness of ratings information, screening availability and other relevant data around all new and returning product available for licensing; reviewing business proposals and preparation of counter proposals
• Advise and coordinate with sales executives, legal and other internal with the review and finalization of licensing agreements
• Oversight of first run catalogues, multiple internal trackers and the communication of licensing start dates
Sales Processing and Volume Agreement Management
• Track licensing commitments across English and French markets
• Manage product availability and fulfillment of multi-year volume agreements across English and French markets
• Oversee all field orders and notices of change for SVOD; Free TV and Specialty Cable
• Support Long-Range-Planning as needed

Qualifications/Requirements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Basic Qualifications
• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including experience in the entertainment industry within the sales and/or licensing environment
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite, specifically MS Excel
• Must be eligible to work in Canada
• Must be willing to submit to a background check
