Responsibilities
The Director of National Sales NBCU New York will lead a team of experienced Account Executives in regional offices to drive revenue across the entire portfolio of NBCU Local. This position will focus NBCU's Local Properties in NY, the #1 DMA.
The NBCU NY Local Portfolio includes Linear TV (WNBC & WNJU), OTT/CTV (Peacock & Spot On), Digital Out of Home (Taxi TV & Reach TV in Airports) as well as product integrations and custom content across our Local and Nationally Distributed Lifestyle Programs.
This position works directly with clients, advertising agencies, & PR firms to create marketing solutions using the full portfolio of NBCU Local in both English and Spanish. Responsibilities will include analyzing market dynamics and industry trends to chart a path of growth across our assets.
This Position reports directly to the SVP of Sales at NBCU New York.
• Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years' broadcast sales management experience, with a proven track record of successful revenue generation across multiple platforms.
• Established agency relationships at all levels of the media organization and direct client contacts in the tri-state area a plus.
• Experience motivating and leading a sales team is necessary.
A strong understanding of the digital OTT/CTV space.
• Thorough understanding of the New York General Market & Hispanic Market sales dynamics.
• Engaged with the local & regional community and willing to dedicate time outside of the workday to network with clients and business community leaders
• Understands how to communicate our value proposition effectively and build strong internal and external relationships.
A leader that can multi-task and manage multiple projects.
• Is a skilled negotiator who knows how to up-sell.
• Strongly believes that new business is a key way to maximize growth and knows how to train, coach, and motivate Account Executives to thrive in business development.
• Possesses an acute understanding of how to forecast future revenue opportunities.
• Has the creativity to develop targeted, customer focused marketing solutions using multiple platforms.
• Has an excellent understanding of how to price effectively and manage inventory.
• Takes full ownership of national budgets and revenue goals and is constantly developing strategies to overachieve.
• Highly computer literate in all Microsoft Office products and ideally has experience with Wide Orbit
• Communicates clearly and consistently to upper management the station's inventory and pricing strategy, business development goals and current market conditions to drive results.
• Works closely with Traffic department on inventory and pricing strategies, along with special opportunity sales.
• Working knowledge of the political sales process and paid programming sales a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including formal presentations before both small and large groups. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
