Job Description

The Manager, Strategy & Insights will have familiarity with Spanish-language media and help develop insights about the audience consuming Telemundo content using a wide variety of data sources.

Responsibilities:
• Leads the comprehensive analysis, reporting, and presentation of primetime content performance for Telemundo and its competitors, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness for driving business decisions.
• Manages tools to access national & local TV ratings as well as digital & social media trends and exhibits an understanding of how to use these data sources for assigned tasks.
• Utilizes data mining techniques to analyze Hispanic viewer preferences, market trends, audience flow, and other Spanish-language content insights.
• Presents and communicates performance results and findings to stakeholders at all levels.
• Manages ongoing requests, sets deadlines, and effectively handles shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Supervises and develops Research Analysts, ensuring their training and growth.
• Reports directly to the Research Director and completes assigned tasks as required by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Four-year degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited college or university
• Minimum three (3) years of experience desired at a broadcast/cable network, agency, media research supplier or digital media company; or other corporate experience grounded in strategic thinking and business analytics
• Exhibits expert knowledge of Nielsen systems
• Experience with Adobe Reports & Analytics, Analysis Workspace, Report Builder, and Talkwalker a plus
• Demonstrated expertise and proficiency using Microsoft Office applications including Excel (pivot tables and macros a plus) and PowerPoint
• Experienced in providing detailed analytics and insights
• Proficient written and verbal communications in English

Desired Characteristics:
• Demonstrated strong analytic ability; critical thinker; fast learner; proactive problem solver
• Experience with digital analytics a plus
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Domo, Power BI, etc. a plus
• Exhibits familiarity with Spanish-language television
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, dead-line driven environment
• Accustomed to working in a team and collaborating with all levels within the organization
• Creative and highly organized
• Detail oriented
• Inspirational and inclusive leadership skills
• Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to lead and develop staff
