Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

The Coordinator, Communications, Special Projects and DE&I will assist in the day-to-day administrative support of the VP, Communications, Special Projects and DE&I for the Universal Studio Group division. This position is based in the Universal City, CA offices.

Essential Responsibilities:

General
• Handle office administrative duties for the VP, West Coast Communications, Special Projects and DE&I office (schedule IT, office supply orders, coordinate drive-ons with security and provide check in instructions, schedule facilities, manage office share drives etc.)
• Answer telephones, screen calls, route callers, take messages, respond to internal and external inquiries, and provide routine information within scope of authority
• Function as administrative liaison to departmental staff, other departments, external vendors and consultants
• Reconcile purchasing cards, executive travel, and expense reports
• Track, reconcile and file departmental invoices/accounting
• Maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents
• Partner with other department coordinators to interview and hire pages and interns for the team

Comms, Special Projects and DE&I
• Assist in drafting press releases, pitches, Q&As and other written materials
• Coordinate Showrunner panels and related event logistics
• Project manage DE&I activations around heritage months and other national days of celebration
• Support LAUNCH initiatives including talent incubator labs, the TV Director's Program and Female Forward, the TV Writers Program, BTL Traineeships and more
• Support marketing/social on DE&I-related asset creation + review
• Review character breakdowns, loglines, scripts and episodes as needed
• Assist in tracking the department's charitable giving and planning documents
• Assist in the day-to-day operations with cross-functional teams, including the broader DE&I team (corporate and NBCU LAUNCH), studio publicists, and human resources
• Research and support USG's new and existing partnerships with various advocacy and non-profit organizations

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 1-year communications and/or DE&I experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Additional Requirements:
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, California
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary Details
Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000 Per Year ($ USD)
