Responsibilities

Role Purpose:

The Media Coordinator is responsible on-air and digital scheduling as well as creative asset management across the various owned and paid media channels of NBC News and MSNBC. They will report into the Manager, Media Marketing and will have the opportunity to work closely with the NBC News and MSNBC Brand Marketing teams.

Responsibilities will include:

Digital & On-air Scheduling
• Schedule on-air promotions on MSNBC and across NBC News programming
• Maintain an overall knowledge and understanding of on-air priorities across both NBC News and MSNBC
• Identify and communicate digital asset needs, balancing inventory availability and media objectives, to brand marketing teams
• Communicate with internal teams throughout the creative development process to ensure proper execution of marketing initiatives

Asset Management
• Manage inventory and creative across all owned and paid media channels (on-air, barter, VOD, digital, audio, OTT, OOH, International, etc.)
• Work closely with Media Managers to develop and execute against internal media plans
• Responsible for creative trafficking, both internally and externally, ensuring all assets are delivered on time and proactively following up as needed
• Full understanding of creative development process including status of current and future projects and campaigns
• Provide general assistance to the media team, as needed

$24-28/hr

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:
• 1-year previous work experience within relevant field preferred (media agency, account management, creative trafficking, etc.)
• Ability to conduct effective in-person and email communication
• High level of attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to prioritize and juggle numerous projects and deadlines within a fast-paced and high-volume environment
• Proficient in Excel and Power Point
• Must be willing to be on-call on nights and weekends
