Logistic Desk Coordinator (ABC News)
The Logistics Desk Coordinator (NY) will help to coordinate worldwide coverage for all ABC News platforms for day to day newsgathering operations as well as for planned news events in a fast paced, breaking news environment for a 24 hour, 7 day a week department.
Responsibilities
• Worldwide crew booking and day-to-day scheduling for all ABC News shows and platforms, including Good Morning America, World News Tonight, Nightline, ABC News Live, 20/20, The View, Impact, Hulu and ABC News Studios.
• Collaborate with various levels of employees, multitask on multiple assignments and build close relationships within the News Division.
• Ensure ENG crews are scheduled efficiently and effectively with crew hours tracked, including entering crew hours into a computerized scheduling system.
• Worldwide booking and dispatching of ABC News and vendor drone pilots for the News Division.
• Management of ABC News wireless devices to include device ordering, account setup and rate plans.
• Manage in house and vendor courier assignments and services.
• Management of Company owed fleet of NY based vehicles.
Basic Qualifications
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, stressful, breaking news environment.
• Must be well organized and extremely attentive to details.
• Be a self-starter as well as a team player skilled in managing groups both inside and outside the organization to support all platforms across ABC News.
• Must have excellent organization, time management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours including evenings, overnights and weekends.
• Must be able to work both remotely and in the office.
The hiring range for this position in New York is $55,700 to $74,800 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
