Responsibilities
The Global Publicity team supports the development and advancement of strategic publicity initiatives for UPHE's global and domestic in-home film releases across digital and physical formats. As a part of the broader marketing organization, the team is responsible for leading and facilitating all entertainment trade and consumer communications and celebrity, media and influencer relations, working in close collaboration with other key stakeholders around the business to further the company's goals. The Assistant Manager will provide dedicated support to products from the company's Focus Features and Universal 1440 production arms, as well as across its broad stable of distribution partners, and will be the champion for his/her assigned projects within the organization and with external partners, including digital marketing, creative services, legal, finance, outside agencies, and more. This is a dynamic, challenging role with variety, great visibility across the organization, and exceptional learning opportunities.

Role Summary / Purpose:

Under the guidance of the Global Publicity Team Director, the Assistant Manager of Publicity will develop and execute strategic publicity campaigns for assigned global and domestic in-home film releases across digital and physical formats. The role will provide dedicated support to products from the company's Focus Features and Universal 1440 production arms, as well as across its broad stable of distribution partners.

Ideal candidate will have well-rounded campaign experience working with press, influencers and PR promotions and strong relationships with A-list editors, bookers, journalists, and talent representatives. Must be able to work independently and strategically to drive and manage multiple projects concurrently. This is a full-time, in-house role working in Universal's Los Angeles headquarters. Domestic and international travel may be required, pending project needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for developing, managing and executing comprehensive publicity campaigns worldwide for the Company's Digital and Blu-ray releases primarily supporting the Company's Focus Features and Universal 1440 production arms and third-party distribution partnerships.
• Oversee mid-lead and fast-breaking print, broadcast, online and radio editorial coverage and reviews (in general entertainment and specialty consumer and trade press outlets).
• Supervise and direct outside publicity agencies and assess performance for the duration of each campaign.
• Communicate publicity updates to senior members of Global Publicity and Brand Marketing teams on a regular basis.
• Support/attend press days and press events in-person or virtually as appropriate (press junkets, stunts, press screenings as appropriate for a given campaign).
• Plan and oversee publicity field/grassroots activities and influencer campaigns for title launches.
• Identify and spearhead all promotional opportunities from publicity partnerships to product giveaways for assigned titles.
• Work collaboratively with Digital Marketing team to support social media strategies.
• Remain current and well informed of the competitive editorial landscape and have a strong knowledge of industry trends.
• Supervise production publicity on assigned films (includes overseeing unit publicists and photo editors) on an as needed basis.
• Actively contribute to all internal cross-Marketing team meetings.
• Liaise with filmmakers and talent representatives.
• Lend support to broader department efforts/initiatives, administrative needs and special projects as necessary.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree Required.
• 3+ years of experience in entertainment publicity and promotions (background working on specialized film campaigns is a plus).
• 3+ years working in a publicity department or at a PR agency.
• Must have experience working with publicity agencies and vendors.
• Experience in supporting innovative, strategic publicity campaigns.
• Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
