Job Description
This Administrative Assistant is a key member of the Creative/Production group within the Music department specializing in production, creative, and budgetary areas of the film-music processes. This position will report to the EVP, Film Music.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Phones, scheduling, expense reports, booking travel, and other administrative duties as needed.
• Key part of maintaining work flow of the department
• Support the executives to collaboratively and intuitively handle a variety of ''spillover'' work: music research, soundtrack marketing, source/song music searches, temp-score research, interfacing with key contacts at record labels, publishers, artists, writers, musicians, music production companies, composer agencies, etc.
• Research song info to complete clearance forms for licensing department
• Help update and manage film music budgets and song breakdown reports
• Oversee all music downloads and the organization of the department's music drive
• Organize and distribute assets to filmmakers, executives and music editors as needed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• MS Word and Excel proficiency
• Apple Music (and music apps, generally) and Mac proficiency
• Minimum 2 years' experience working in music for a motion picture or television studio, production company, music label, composer, or music supervisor.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work overtime or weekends as needed.
