Responsibilities

As a Studio Tech, you will primarily be responsible for media playback and replay operations. You can also expect to be cross-trained and be able to fill in for other studio technician positions such as jib operator, audio operator, stage manager or robotic cameras. A snapshot of your responsibilities:
• Under the supervision of operation managers, you will collaborate with technical staff, director, and producer to satisfy production needs.
• You will be responsible for operating the media playback position for studio shows. You'll be providing scenic shots, pre- and post-game sound bites, player warmups, b-roll over postgame player interviews, roll out montages, audio clips and more!
• You'll get exposure to other studio tech positions (Jib Operator, Audio, Stage Manager) as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Media Playback/Replay Operator and one year experience as a Jib Op, Audio, or Stage Manager.
• Ability to understand and perform operational duties including stage managing, studio camera, teleprompter, lighting, and video tape playback.
• Functional knowledge of iNews
• Available to work non-traditional hours including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and set/strike studio/remote gear

Desired Characteristics:
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Aptitude and desire to be cross trained to the next technical level (Tech II)
• Prior experience in any of the following roles
• Tape playback operator for sports shows
• Audio Mixing, A2 or Technical Directing
• Camera Operator or Stage Manager for live studio shows.
