Responsibilities
Role Purpose
The NBC Sports Strategic Insights & Analytics team works across sports content strategy and consumer insights to tell the story of the ''why'' and the ''what'' behind sports fandom and media consumption. The Sr. Analyst is a key member of the team, creating actionable performance analysis to support a diverse set of client groups, including Consumer Marketing, Programming/Scheduling, Finance, Sales Planning, and Digital teams. The role consists of developing insights across the NBC Sports portfolio, including the Olympics, Sunday Night Football, PGA TOUR, NASCAR, Notre Dame football, Triple Crown, IndyCar, FIFA World Cup, and Premier League.

Responsibilities
• Reporting and analysis responsibilities using both local and national TV audience data (e.g. Nielsen, ComScore, STB data sets) across the Sports landscape, including coverage for weekend events
• Collect, analyze and interpret both TV and streaming data for recurring reports as well as ad hoc requests, highlighting the performance of NBC Sports Group properties and the broader sports landscape.
• Bring a fresh perspective to departmental daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting, helping to position analysis in a creative and concise manner.
• Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of research projects, being a main point of contact for vendors and maintaining organization, contracts and timelines across projects provide insights on identifying the audience and analyzing their viewing behaviors.
• Build and synthesize data into dashboards that measure sports property health
• Proactively contribute to analysis and creation of ongoing departmental projects and presentations. Collaborate with peers to ensure uniformity of departmental reporting standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members in the evaluation of new technology and systems to help modernize and streamline workflow
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Media, Communications, Statistics or related field
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in TV or Media Research
• Prior experience with TV measurement systems (Nielsen: NPower, NNTV) a must; experience with ComScore TV Essentials and additional Set-Top-Box data is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization tools a strong plus
• Ability to analyze and summarize data, and to communicate findings clearly and concisely

• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
