Job Description

The Content Merchandizing & Operations team is tasked with curating the Peacock content offering across all products and audience segments, including merchandising live events and related publishing operations. It is a 24/7 operation responsible for updating content based on performance, programming tactics and events unfolding in real time, working in coordination with the Video Operations, Product, Marketing and Customer Support teams in addition to other stakeholders.

NBCUniversal is looking for a Content Merchandizing & Operations Associate to join this rock-solid team responsible for project managing live streams, replays, playlists and highlights from the 2024 Paris Olympics. We are seeking a cool-headed, detail-obsessed operator who is adept at managing the ebb and flow of a massive and constantly shifting Multiview broadcast schedule.

The successful candidate for this role will bring hands-on experience managing complex digital streams from live televised sports events, along with an aptitude with a variety of content management systems and a sense of personal responsibility for the accuracy of their work. To excel in this role, they must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, set and meet deadlines for publishing large volumes of content, own the project management of assets and logistics for multiple events, and be able to successfully navigate issues arising in real time.

Responsibilities
• Program stream updates to our Multiview experience in conjunction with Video Operations and Broadcasting teams
• Assign necessary metadata to all live events involved in Multiview
• Monitor production bridges for changes or issues related to Multiview or progamming plans
• Review metadata submitted for Multiview to confirm accuracy
• Monitor athlete availability and active/inactive changes across all events to ensure accurate imagery exists in real-time
• Responsible for complete coverage of daily Multiview streams throughout the games
• Evaluate incidents to identify immediate solutions and work with the Impact team to escalate issues to the proper departments if necessary
• Assist in additional editorial setup that becomes necessary during the games

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Minimum of one year of experience working in title operations or publishing at a large-scale editorial, e-commerce, or video service.
• Previous experience working on live streamed events and live streaming operations preferred
• A passion for sports, specifically the Olympics preferred
• Ability to work daily during the Olympic games for the duration of each days live events
• Excellent writing and presentation skills

• Demonstrable ability to manage an ever-changing schedule or functional tool
• Exhibit excellent organization and communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to clearly and concisely articulate workflows and concepts for a variety of audiences
• Proactively identify opportunities to adjust processes for efficiencies. Help develop strategies and procedures for continual improvement for editorial operations

Additional Requirements:
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
