Responsibilities
The NBC News Talent Coordinator provides administrative support to the Talent Recruitment and Development department, NBC News, and serves as a liaison between the News Talent Department and individual programs and platforms across the NBC News Group. The Coordinator will collaborate and work alongside the Manager, Director and Vice President on all projects related to talent.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Maintain talent calendars, tracking incoming vacation requests
• Update daily changes in programming in response to special coverage or breaking news
• Maintain 24/7 availability
• Track anchor sick days, vacation days and personal days for over 50 + anchors
• Maintain office calendars
• Book travel and upkeep department expenses/submit regular expense reports
• Supervise department interns
• Maintain records and office documents
• Develop strong relationships with NBC News executives, Executive Producers, and external talent agents
• Research and recruit on-air and off-air talent
• Coordinate with journalism organizations for recruiting talent
• Prepare materials to be distributed to news teams and leadership
• Edit anchor auditions and reels for talent recruitment process
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in broadcast journalism
• Strong familiarity with NBC News programs, platforms, and on-air talent
• Software proficiency with applications such as MS Word, TweetDeck, iNews, and strong capabilities with Excel and PowerPoint
• Video editing skills preferred
